“Every Picture Tells a Story”

The Westport Art Group invites members and non-members to enter our Every Picture Tells a Story Exhibit. This is an exhibition open to all themes, mediums and motifs, including 2D, 3D works and Photography.

Entry Guidelines: Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces. 2D Artworks must be framed or gallery wrapped if applicable, and ready to hang with a wire. Sawtooth hangers and 2D work without hanging wire on the back will not be accepted as they will not work with our hanging system. Larger 3-D works should come with their own pedestals. Due to space limitations for this show, maximum size for 2D works will be 44” in either direction and a maximum weight of 20 Lbs. 3D works can be no larger than 44” wide, 24” deep and 5’ in height, including stand or pedestal. Any 3D piece heavier than 20 lbs. will require installation by the artist.

Entries must be your original work, not a reproduction, not AI generated, giclee, or copy of another artwork. Only work that has not been previously shown at WAG will be accepted. Your artwork should be submitted for sale (with 25% commission to WAG). Just one artwork of the three can be “not for sale.” Please be sure to specify the price- or NFS. WAG reserves the discretion to not show a work, including, for example, a work that does not meet the above criteria.

Entry Fees:
MEMBERS OF WAG: $20 for one entry, $25 for up to 3 entries;
NON-MEMBERS: $25 for one entry and $35 for up to 3. Non-members may consider becoming a WAG member: LINK to Join.
WAG retains a 25% commission on all sold artwork.

We encourage MEMBER artists to sign up for gallery sitting, work drop off or pickup, or set up and reception help through SignUpGenius. Those members that volunteer to gallery sit and are paying online may use a discount code at checkout for $15 off the registration fee as specified below.

The entry fee can be paid during online registration by credit card or online payment services such as apple pay or paypal. Or, you may choose to pay at drop off, payable with cash, check or credit card.

STEP 1. ADD TO CART

  • Select the appropriate category in one of the drop down boxes at the bottom of this page (member or non-member, pay at drop off, or pay online for 1 or more art submissions).

  • Click Add to cart.

  • Complete the pop-up form. (No image uploads needed.)

STEP 2. CHECK OUT

  • After completing the pop up form, GO TO YOUR CART and follow the prompts. Whether you are paying at drop off or paying online, your registration WILL NOT BE COMPLETE without going to your cart and checking out.

Payment: If paying online, select your payment method. Note: If you are using an iPhone, the Apple Pay cart is a very small shopping basket icon at the very bottom of the page. You may click on the Apple icon to complete credit card payment.

Discount Code (Members only): To receive your discount for Gallery Sitting: During checkout, enter the code PICTURE in the Discount box BEFORE completing check out. This will give you $15 off your registration fee. The discount will not be available after you complete check out.

STEP 3. CHECK YOUR EMAIL

  • Check your email for registration and payment confirmation. If you did not get an email confirmation, you are either not registered or have submitted an invalid email! If this happens, try registering again. If you still have problems contact Bossbandbob@gmail.com.

Delivery of art is to: The Westport Art Group 1740 Main Road, Westport MA 02790
Delivery Times: Thursday, October 23,12-1:30PM and Fri Oct 24, 4PM to 6PM or by prior arrangement.
All art must be delivered in person. Name of work, name of artist, address, phone, email and price (or nfs) must be affixed to the back of each piece.

PICK-UP: All unsold artwork must be picked up when the show closes on Sunday, November 9 from 3:30-4:15 PM or on Monday, November 10 between 5-6:30 PM or by prior arrangement. Please note WAG policies allow WAG to impose a fee for storing artwork left at the building beyond the pick-up date. WAG will not be responsible for any damage or loss of work after the final designated pick up time.

LEGAL: Utmost care will be taken handling artwork, but WAG is not responsible for loss of or damage to artwork.

USE OF IMAGES: Any artwork submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show. This use may include publication in any printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.
