Tuesdays at WAG presents

Barbara Healy
PAINTING USING COLD WAX TECHNIQUE

Tuesday, May 12 at 6 pm
Westport Art Group, 1740 Main Rd, Westport MA

Free and open to the public

Barbara Healy

Dartmouth artist Barbara Healy will demonstrate painting with cold wax, an exciting medium that can be added to oil paint. The demo will explore application methods using more than a brush. Her paintings are inspired by the diverse colors of light, atmosphere, and nature of the New England coast. More than a snapshot, her paintings suggest the feel of breeze on a summer sail or memory of an evening walk. Her degree in textile design has given her a background in color; but she often paints plein air to learn from nature. Her Dartmouth MA studio is on the South Coast Artists Open Studio Tours.

"Tuesdays at WAG" programs are supported in part by funding from the Westport Cultural Council, which promotes projects, presentations and events to benefit our community through participation.
