Westport Art Group’s Spring Show
May 9- 26, Thursdays-Sundays, 1-5 pm
Reception Friday May 10th, from 5 to 7 pm

This is a judged show, all entries that meet entry requirements will be hung.
Judge Kris Donovan is a little Compton artist working in pastels, oils, and watercolors.
For 31 years she owned and ran the Donovan Gallery at Tiverton Four Corners, taught painting for many years, and directed the Making Art/Plein Air seminars.

Entry Guidelines: Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces. Open to all mediums, including photography, representing the theme: “It’s Only Natural.“ Interested artists: download the Call to Artists for the Link to Entry.
2D size not to exceed 30”x 30”, 3D size under 24”x24”x24”
The exhibition will display a diverse variety of media with the artist's creative interpretation of the theme. This exhibit is in conjunction with Artweek SouthCoast .

WAG is pleased to be one of the Sponsors for the month-long exhibit at the Westport Free Public Library "April is for the Birds".
With the return of Spring, we will welcome flocks of migratory and summer-resident birds to the South Coast. It is a time to celebrate our birds.

South Coast Artists Open Studio Tour - July and august
Update: We have extended the availability to sign up for JULY SCA open studio until Friday April 19. There are two spaces left. (August is full).

July 20-21 & August 17-18, 2024 from 11:00 am - 5:00 p.m.
WAG members can sign-up online below to show at the WAG Building during the 2024 SCA Tour!
Space is limited to seven WAG members each weekend, allocated on a first-to-sign up basis, by April 1, 2024. If spaces are filled before April 1, sign up will close early. Fee is $85; no commissions on sales.
Artists are responsible for set-up, take down, and being on site during open hours.
Artists may only show their own, original artworks. WAG will provide some posters and postcards.
SCA will list WAG as a gallery on their brochure and map. Artist names will not be on the brochure.
Participants must currently be WAG members. Membership in South Coast Artists is not required but is strongly encouraged.
Both of our galleries will be used, and specific space for each of 7 artists will be assigned.
If there are spaces available, artists may be able to do both weekends at $170. Sign up only for your 1st choice weekend and email WAG for a request for the other weekend.
WAG is looking for a volunteer leader from each of the SCA weekends to coordinate the artists showing that weekend.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of extreme weather conditions, and the Massachusetts government issues a state of emergency, then Westport Art Group will close and cancel the open studio event on the day involved. Since SCA does not offer rain dates, WAG will not offer rain dates. We will offer artists involved a partial refund of their entry fee.

The Periwinkle Shop
New periwinkle info and inventory will soon be available, but no new items will be accepted during the interim.
The Periwinkle Shop features small art items and handcrafted gifts made by our members, and is located in the Westport Art Group lobby. The Periwinkle Shop is open during classes and by appointment at 1740 Main Road, Westport Point, MA. Please email info@westportartgroup.com if you are interested in visiting or displaying items in the shop.
